20 August 2017 I require more support at a print length of 500 mm. To achieve this, I employed a 10x2 mm carbon tube to reinforce the two aluminum tubes. This arrangement yields considerable stiffness due to the triangular configuration of the tubes. 16 July 2017 The hotend/extruder support has been improved. Two Z stepper motors are connected by a single belt. Please see: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2437326 12 June 2017 The carbon tubes within the aluminum tubes have provided a significant increase in stiffness. I am now waiting for a 3D Touch auto-leveling sensor to be installed. https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Shipping-Geeetech-Auto-Leveling-Sensor-3D-Touch-for-3D-Printer-Improve-Printing-Precision/32761924885.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.ounZPJ 03 June 2017 The extruder/hotend drive has been modified to a 90-degree configuration for enhanced stability. Six-millimeter wooden rods have been inserted into the aluminum tubes, further increasing stability. I have ordered six-millimeter by four-millimeter carbon tubes from China as replacements for the wooden rods. https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/3D-Printer-parts-for-Titan-Extruder-Fully-Kits-Titan-Extruder-for-1-75mm-3D-printer-extruder/32778467785.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.PpxZXk https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/4pcs-lot-3K-Carbon-Fiber-Tube-6-4-500mm-6mm-Tube-for-RC-Airplane-Aerobatics-Kite/32803570300.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.PpxZXk Good results have been achieved with the printing of 500x180x100mm parts. 03 May 2017 The first print was 450 mm x 50 mm. I replaced the extruder/hotend from a bowden to a direct drive system using a small motor. 01 April 2017 First print completed. Other types of relays were used, which eliminated noise issues. I am waiting for another extruder/hotend to arrive from China. 12 March 2017 A double-heated bed has been connected. Two temperature sensors are located at the bed (500 mm x 250 mm). The relays are producing excessive noise. https://youtu.be/W7eudf0GQes First run with four stepper motors was successful.https://youtu.be/DfqCVCndlC8 Two Z-stepper motors are connected in series. 03 February 2017 Baby incubator project. A fan is mounted on top to remove gases. The transparent back side has space for eight kilograms of filament. Zip file containing all printed parts is available. Now equipped with wheels: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2082928 21 January 2017 Led lights have been installed on top. Two doors in the front are secured by magnetic tape. Power supply and LCD display have been added. Flexible hinges (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2023427 ) were used. 15 January 2017 A transparent cover has been implemented for a controlled print environment . The print space is 500 x 250 x 200 mm. Heated bed with mirror 600 x 300 mm (Ikea Fullen euro 9.99) has been installed.http://www.ikea.com/nl/nl/catalog/products/60189027/ Waiting for essential parts from China. 12 January 2017 Still waiting for essential parts from China. 30 December 2016 First impression with two lead screws outside for a 500mm long heated bed. The printer is standing on four bumpers. 27 December 2016 Still waiting for the parts from China. 11 December 2016 I'm building a 3D printer with a print area of 500 x 200 x 200 mm based on thing:1752766 Tech2c (great design). Waiting for the parts from China....... In combination with http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1725519
