Tumbleweed Tank (1-100 / 15mm scale)

Tumbleweed Tank (1-100 / 15mm scale)

thingiverse

Based on a concept from 1936 Popular Science magazine this ball tank never got made in real life, but could fit neatly to a weird war campaign. It works like a mobile bunker and for breaking enemy lines. Check [page 37 of the magazine that introduced it](https://books.google.com/books?id=wCgDAAAAMBAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_ge_summary_r&cad=0#v=twopage&q&f=false) for a writeup and cutaway illustration of the tank. ## Notes: * The model is in 1/100 (15mm) scale, compatible with games like Flames of War. If you want to use it with 28mm miniatures (1/56, games like Bolt Action) scale the model to 178.57% * The flat file is designed for easy printing on FDM printers and can be printed without supports. * Some details (mainly the bolts) are lost when FDM printing at the default (15mm) scale. They are left for people wanting to scale the model up or resin printing. * If "download all" option doesn't work (a recent issue with thingiverse), you have to download each file separately from the "Thing Files" menu.
