Tully - KD022-034002 - Sheela-na-Gig
sketchfab
Located in the northwest quadrant of Tully graveyard (KD022-034001-) and just a few metres west of the western wall of the church ruins belonging to the Preceptory of the Knights Hospitallers (KD022-034----). The slightly concave-shaped sandstone has a distinctive 12th-century roll moulding on one edge, suggesting it was once part of an architectural feature like an archway over a 12th-century window or doorway. On one face, the figure of a sheela-na-gig is carved in bold relief.
