Tulip, fixed for FDM
thingiverse
Enjoy these FDM 3D-printable versions of 3dtasari's tulip !!\r\n\r\nI loved the original design by 3dtasari, but his OBJ model was not 3D printable, it was way too thin and had a hollow tube running up its center stem. I thickened the model to 0.4mm, hollowed out the inside, sealed off both ends, and created a sturdy 3D printable STL file.\r\n\r\nThere are two more versions included: Both have been enlarged by 10%, One has a mound of "dirt" (makes a great desktop base/raft), and one adds the words I LOVE YOU extruded up from the mound. All prints look fantastic, especially with a couple of color changes.\r\n\r\nThis was a tough challenge to make 3D-printable, but I'm thrilled with the results. I learned a lot! Print one for your sweetheart
