The fabric I selected for upholstery is too dense for the tufting button I purchased, so I modified the bolt and nut from NUT JOB design into a tufting button. I applied a small amount of CA glue to the back of the button, then used the nut to press the fabric tightly in place, and threaded it through the small hole on the short bolt - you can now work with heavy fabric without experiencing much frustration! Make sure to print slightly hotter to ensure strong layer adhesion.
