Tuft box

Tuft box

I am very deep into painting display miniatures. I always loved all kind of different tufts. In all colors and sizes. But I hated the wobbly paper they come with. It is horrible to store them in boxes, drawers or even little plastic zip bags. I tried all kind of solutions I heard of. After a while they start losing detailed hair or just fell of the paper before I need them. So I learned the very basics of Fusion 360 and these tuft boxes are my very first project. Be kind with me :P The boxes are designed to store big, medium and very tiny small tufts. Thats why the boxes come in three different heights. 15mm, 10mm and 5mm. Wall thicknesses and corner holes, to put pins in, are always the same. To make them stackable you need to print out the pins as well. Four pins to each box. Perfect pin positioning: 1. Print two boxes (any sizes) and four pins. 2. Positions the pins into the lower box corner holes . 3. Put a drop of superglue on the lose pins. 4. Position the upper box on top. 5. After a couple of seconds, you can lift up the upper box and the pins are glued to the perfect position below the upper box. This is very easy and quick to do! I love my tuft boxes, well maybe I designed them.. ^^ But maybe others appreciate this solutions as well, so I wanted to share my data. I love to see comments or makes! Happy printing.
