Archaeologists have uncovered a remarkably preserved VR/AR optimised section of the Tudor Floor, hidden beneath the Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. Jane Sidell, Inspector of Ancient Monuments for Historic England, narrates the discovery with expert commentary. Careful preparation of the floor for a new visitor centre in summer 2017 revealed this hidden treasure. Archaeologists were thrilled to discover a glazed tile floor and a subterranean room featuring a series of unusual niches. These niches, dubbed 'bee boles,' might have been used to house skeps - hive baskets - during winter months when bees hibernate.
