Tudor Door frame and fittings
thingiverse
This is a Door frame with the characteristic Tudor flat arch. The frame comes in 3 pieces, as it would not fit onto my printer in a single piece. There are also 2 alternative widths. The uprights need to be placed diagonally. I have included some shorter uprights in case of problems. Additionally there are 3 jamb sections that fit onto the back to create the rebate for an inward-opening door. Leave it off if the door is opening outwards. There is also a flat piece that fits the top of the door, a middle upright moulding piece if you want to add moulded strips to the door, and some items of door furniture - A Suffolk latch that can be made to move (this was designed for stop motion), a key escutcheon plate, thumbplate and handle (would fit on the other side of the door, or on an outward-opening door) and some hinge straps. Glue the frame together after carefully filing to fit with the joining pieces. Use Plastic Weld liquid glue. Ideally, fit the joining piece into one socket then flood it with Plastic Weld. Put some plastic Weld into the other socket and bring the sections together. Put more Plastic Weld on the join, it will get taken down by capillary action into the joint. Hold it until set. Repeat with the other upright. Sand and fill the frame, then apply a coat of spray acrylic primer before painting with acrylics. Use thick PVA or superglue to fix the door furniture pieces.
