This stackable carbon air filter is similar to my old version except that it now features a low-profile design, allowing it to be tucked against a table leg for maximum space efficiency. The filter can also be rested on the tabletop or bolted to the center of the leg, freeing up valuable space for other uses. Simply print and stack additional cartridges to further reduce odors in your printer enclosure. I use my Tevo Tarantula exclusively for ABS printing, which is why I opt for two filters, one for each back leg. TIPS =========================================== How to Re-Activate/Refresh Carbon Charcoal for Reuse: - Place the old activated carbon in a pot. - Fill the pot halfway with filtered drinking water, not tap water from your sink, as this may contain impurities that can clog the pores of the charcoal. - Boil the mixture for 30 minutes, refilling the pot as needed to prevent it from drying out. As you boil, you'll notice the water turning brownish due to the absorption of unwanted substances from printing. - Remove the carbon charcoal from the pot while it's still hot and place it in a toaster oven. Bake at 15-minute intervals or until dry. I prefer this method over sun-drying as it allows me to utilize steam for added cleaning and enables quicker reuse of the filters. - Once dry, return the charcoal to the cartridges, and you're ready for another three months of odor reduction, after which the process can be repeated. If you own a fish tank, you can apply the same technique to the charcoal in your water filter.
