Tubular WideX "box" 5inch 12mm - HD toothpick - 3d-printable frame
thingiverse
This is the version for motors with a 12mm mounting pattern! The 16mm version can be found here. This is the 5" WideX "box" version of the Tubular frame. This is the strongest design yet and will be able to take a beating. All electronics are mounted on a cage part which itself is mounted to the core frame by zip ties.Apart from higher sturdiness, this also helps when you crash hard and damage the core frame. You can then just remove a few zip ties and screws, and switch to a new core frame rather easily. This is a more advances tubular frame. If this is your first go at one, I personally suggest the TrueX-version first - it's the most easiest to build.Currently there only is a mount for the O3 air unit. I'll gladly design a mount for your VTX system, just hit me up on Discord.I added both motor mounts for 12mm and 16mm motors.I have 3 (5) designs currently available:Deadcat - for long-range (+ new subtype "box-style")WideX - for Freestyle (+ new subtype "box-style")TrueX - for RacingMore information can be found here on my website. If you plan on building one or would like to get more info, there is a Discord server dedicated to this frame class. You'll get all the support you need there. I'll do what i can to help.https://discord.gg/488xg7tMD5The weight of the frame itself as in the picture is around 81grams.
