Tubular Whoop

This is my Modular Tubular Whoop v8 design. I've been working on this 85mm motor to motor 40mm prop ductless whoop design for a bit now, and I'd love some input. The press-fit, carbon arms can adjust motor to motor size, and I've designed brushed motor (6mm & 7mm) mounts as well. The battery slides in above the AIO whop board, ensuring better handling. Print materials: I strongly advise against using PLA - parts will warp if under stress/strain. I understand it's easy to print with, but PLA's glass transition temp overlaps with temperatures found in a hot car during spring and summer, regardless of sunlight exposure. Some PETG formulas have the same issue as PLA. ABS is recommended. Nylon is best if your print settings are solid. These are small parts - drop your speed settings (mm/s) to near single digits for best results. Deposition rates are in terms of velocity not volumetric rates, so for best results, calculate your deposition speed based on the surface area of your smallest cross-section in your part. Things you'll need: Carbon Tube Arms: 2mm - Outside Diameter (OD) (0.0787 inch ~ 0.08 inch works) - Cut to 32mm for a 85mm motor to motor size (fits 40mm props). I recommend using a Dremel tool with a diamond-coated cutting wheel - please wear a mask. Carbon Tube Cross-Beams: - 1.5mm Outside Diameter OD (0.059 inch ~ 0.60 inch works) - Cut to 41mm for a 85mm motor to motor size (fits 40mm props). I recommend using a Dremel tool with a diamond-coated cutting wheel - please wear a mask. Hardware: Small self-tapping screws are used to mount the side plates to the main body. The same screws that are used to screw your whoop boards down should work. Camera: -Caddx EOS2 - direct mounting holes on the side plates for this camera. -Cam Mount v2 for 14x14 size cameras. I'd love input on this or share what you design. Brushless Motor Mounts: -These mounts were designed around the Mobula7 0802 motors. - Any motor with a 3 hole mounting pattern on a 6.6mm diameter (center to center). -Mounting screws - 4, 5, or 6mm M1.4x0.3 (4mm are a little short but still work). Brushed Motor Mounts: -The 6mm/7mm motor mounts should be printed in TPU.
