Tubular NanoLongRange
thingiverse
I wanted to try making a frame based on Dave C's great design, using carbon fiber tubing and an integrated "snap-in" 18650 battery holder. Weight including battery contacts is 14.3g. This was designed with SLA printing in mind, and might be too intricate for an FDM printer to tackle. I used Siraya Tech Tenacious resin, which is extremely strong and has some flexibility to it (the usual SLA resin would be too brittle for use on a quad IMO). Many people mix Tenacious with regular resin to reduce it's flexibility but retain its strength. All mounting hole positions match Dave C's, so his lower frame parts can be used to complete this build. Carbon fiber tubing should be 3mm OD. Lengths are: 1pcs 93mm (rear) 1pcs 116.5mm (front) 2pcs 81.mmm (left and right) 2pcs 58.5mm (rear arms) 2pcs 43.5mm (front arms) The battery holder has slots for 8mm wide nickel strips that can be used as battery contacts.
