Place the open end of the key on the decoder so that the peg protrudes along the groove in the side of the key. Locate the correct peg by placing the bottom of the key flush on the decoder, making sure the peg reaches to the top of the groove in the key. When facing the open end of the key, decode starting at the index pin and moving clockwise. This code can be used to cut a new key or written down to set a tubular lock pick to this specific code, creating a fully functional key. Almost all tubular keys use a shared pin depth standard, eliminating the need for different types of decoders. This decoder should work with any tubular key available.
