Tubing Slicer
cults3d
I had the need to slice several feet of 3/8" rubber tubing - to cover the edges on some sheet-metal shelving. So I came up with this simple fixture. With the fixture, it took about 10 seconds to slice 10 ft of the tubing. I may never need it again, but it worked so well, I thought I would share it. I'm glad to make edits to accommodate different sizes of tube. You simply put an X-ACTO knife (with a sharp blade) into the fixture - handle with care :), assemble the two halves, and then slide the sleeve on to hold it all together.
