Tubing separator
thingiverse
Getting ready to do an EFI upgrade on my car and I'm creating some 3/8" tubing separators. This separator is .5" thick in the direction of the tubing. The outside diameter is a substantial 13/16", and I want to ensure it doesn't flex or crack. Inside diameter is .39 to accommodate a bit of oversizing, and each half is extruded back from the split line .02" for a tight clamp. To hold everything together, I'm using a 1/4" across the flats nut with a 10-24 thread and a .69" OAL cap screw with a .5" thread length - that should do it. The nut may not be a standard nut, but it's available from McMaster (90760A120), and they're $8 for a box of 50. I've provided clearances to ensure everything comes together nicely. If not, please let me know.
