Named Primavera but often described as a black, green and white metamorphic conglomerate, the marble is unusual due to its extreme random figuring and bold pattern. The alternating bright green, which is ground with white inlays and thin black veining ensures that each table top is completely unique. Tom Dixon Born in Tunisia in 1959, British designer Tom Dixon moved to England in 1963. With raw talent and an untrained eye for design, he rose to prominence in the mid-1980s with a line of welded salvage furniture. By the end of the decade, he was designing contemporary chairs for Italian brands like Cappellini before launching his own company, Eurolounge. In 2002, Tom Dixon's career took off with the launch of his eponymous design firm, which designs and manufactures a wide range of lighting and furniture inspired by British industry's unique heritage and innovation. His iconic designs include the space helmet-inspired Mirror Ball Pendant Light, Copper Shade, hand-beaten Beat Lights, and the Wingback Chair. Tom Dixon was awarded an OBE in 2001 for his outstanding contributions to design. He later won Designer of the Year 2008 from Architektur and Wohnen Magazine, solidifying his reputation as a visionary designer.
