Tube Whistle
thingiverse
WARNING: This whistle can produce sound at the level of a leaf blower, rock concert or chainsaw. Hearing protection is highly recommended due to its loud potential. This innovative whistle creates noise by blowing air over a bottle opening. It utilizes the concept that sound is made when air passes through an object with a specific shape and size. The whistle features four distinct depth "tubes," each generating a different frequency, which combine to create a very loud sound in a compact package. The design also includes a convenient keyring hole for quick access in case of emergencies. This handy feature makes the whistle easy to attach to a bag or keys, keeping it within reach when needed. Update 1: Due to some minor printing defects that hindered air passage through the whistle (specifically due to excessive printing material causing narrow slots), I widened the exit area slightly for easier blowing, improving sound decibel levels but also leading me to create Version V2_10, with even higher results from enhanced air flow. Nevertheless, I am aware that current designs might still cause discomfort for longer blow sessions, hence preparing modifications to ensure optimal use. To better experience these high-sounding devices and enhance user satisfaction, specific updates and revisions were introduced in subsequent updates; details regarding which one specifically contributed significantly or became notably loud will follow here soon after the descriptions of print settings and related notes below are reviewed.
