Tube Syphon
thingiverse
This is a printable version of a common fuel siphon tube used to transfer fuel from or into a container. A quick search on thingiverse didn't reveal any existing designs, so I created one myself. I'm using a tube with 12mm inner diameter and a 15.85mm marble, which can be easily adapted for other tube or marble sizes. The version I printed is split into top and bottom parts that are united with three M3 screws and nuts. I've also included a "whole" version of the design for anyone who wants to try printing it without splitting it in two. This way, you can pause the print at specific layers to insert the marble manually or use the printer's built-in pause function. Update November 20, 2019: I successfully printed the whole tube in one go by adding a base to increase adhesion. The first attempt came loose from the bed, so I added this modification to prevent supports from ruining the finish. The base is easy to break apart and leaves a small burr that can be sanded off.
