I designed this to enable effortless ratchet wheel operation, allowing me to tighten in one direction and easily switch back to loosen without adjusting my grip on the turning wheel. Two separate ratcheting mechanisms facilitate smooth tightening and loosening. The vertically mounted rod has a ratcheting side facing down. Although it requires supports near the bottom for stability, I printed mine with minimal support at the lower end, reserving extra supports for the middle section if needed. The frame features a flat surface for secure placement on the bed, eliminating the need for additional supports. While your splicer may require some extra support, they are not essential for printing this design.
