Then, solder them together in series. Solder the Joule Thief circuit with thin copper wire and perform numerous windings (50+). This will ensure a sufficient voltage output for three LEDs connected in series to shine properly. Attach two small wires to the LED output of the Joule Thief and connect their other ends to the open ends of the LEDs in series, remembering to maintain correct polarity. Secure the Joule Thief with double-sided sticky pads. If they contain foam, this will help ensure the battery lid tightens firmly and keeps the battery securely in place. Insert brass inserts into the bottom part. You should be able to simply press them in.
