Tube mounting base
thingiverse
Can secure a tube up to 33mm in diameter to a surface. Using it as siphon inlet and outlet etc. Feel free to resize (both parts equally!) according to you needs, up or down to 50% which would be max 15mm tube. EDIT: Added a 60% size version ( with extended bottom to once again be 40mmx40mm. Squeezing tubes like this is not an ideal solution, but if you have stiff enough tubes and you can tolerate them losing 10-30% of the flow area, it is a quick way to connect most sizes in a semi-permanent way. However, remember that it's easiest to prime a siphon if the end of the tube is untouched. This is why I made this part like I did. Glue this to the bottom of your bucket etc. (I will glue velcro to the bucket and another on the underside of the base), use the siphon starter.. ..on the tube while it is underwater, let go and make sure water is flowing, insert the tube in the big hole, secure it by screwing in the screw. Don't screw too far so that you constrict water flow. It should pick up water almost from the very bottom, letting your siphon access more of the volume. PRINT WITH "SLICING TOLERANCE: EXCLUSIVE" IN CURA This is to make the threads fit from the start. Screw is printed horizontally to increase strength. No support needed, if thread roof is slightly messed up due to being an overhang it just increases useful friction that keeps screw in place As this model constrict the flow, I might make a better one in the future, but this one has a big advantage in that you only need some visibility from above to mount it so I'll have to think about what to do. Thank you to all other creators who upload their useful and inspiring stuff to thingiverse! Happy printing!
