Tube cutter hand tool trapezoid blade
thingiverse
This tool cuts tubes from 3 to 8 mm. Clamp the blade firmly in place using two M4 screws and a small cap, or one single M3 screw (both self-tapping). The V2 model includes an added case with a nose and a notch on the cutter, designed to keep the case securely attached. The angle of the case is carefully crafted so that it won't easily slide off, but will come loose when shaken. There are no other differences between the V1 and V2 models. If you prefer a completely closed case, simply comment out the last line in the difference() function that contains the roundedcube (after the 3 hull()). Update: 2018-04-07 Noticing that leaving the tool in its case for an extended period can cause it to deform slightly, resulting in reduced width. This issue does not occur if the tool is printed directly from the printer. The tool is made from PLA material, and may require additional strength or printing with multiple perimeters to maintain its shape.
