Tuba Mouthpiece

Tuba Mouthpiece

This model was designed in Inventor using the UMI 2 mouthpiece as a reference point. I've always been drawn to the UMI 2 due to its deep, narrow cup and visually appealing concave exterior shape. When working with ABS, applying acetone around the shank is highly recommended to ensure it remains securely seated within the tuba, while also treating the rim to prevent skin irritation. Suitable for chilly marching band days or producing numerous copies as spares, this design excels. I strongly advise printing at 90-100% infill density because it doesn't significantly increase material usage but significantly enhances strength. Printing at 10-25% infill density will lead to the shank splitting, whereas 90-100% infill density makes it durable enough for everyday use.
