TTGO T Eight Case with OLED
thingiverse
I couldn't find a suitable case for my LilyGo/TTGO T eight with OLED display. There's a noticeable difference between the TTGO T8 and the TTGO T eight, which I'm eager to learn more about - my TTGO T8 boards haven't arrived yet, but at first glance they appear to be smaller and lack an OLED screen. I'm learning the ropes of design, and this case is one of the first ones that's made me happy enough to release. However, it still needs some tweaks. I usually end up printing between 8 to 9 versions before getting things just right, but this time it only took five attempts - so am I improving? That's really the question. Most of the time, I tend to make my cases too thick, and I'm concerned that this one might be a bit too thin, especially at the top. The sides are about the right size, though. I also struggle with creating functional lids or covers - the cover on this case works reasonably well, but it's a press-fit design and could be improved. It's roughly the correct size, but I'm not entirely satisfied with it. In my haste to complete the project, I neglected to consider battery placement - a small lipo battery might fit, but it would need to be extremely thin. Feel free to use this case as you see fit, and if you manage to resolve some of its issues, please share your work. For now, I'm satisfied with the case's current state, although I'll still mark it as a work in progress.
