11/16/19 Adjusted screw lengths to prevent stripping screws from being damaged. Posted a new zip file (Thingiverse files 110519.zip) containing updates to the following STL files: L2 Lower Body L2 Lower Body Trellis2 Base Drive Cover 11/5/19 Updated the following STL files on Thingiverse: Base Drive Outer Ring a and b Base Drive Plate L2 Lower Body L2 Upper Body L3 Bearing Race a and b L3 Bearing Race Lower The updates simplify assembly by changing dimensions to provide more clearance and reduce sanding or filing parts to achieve smooth operation. Use M2x4mm cap head screws to attach the stepper motor to the Base Drive Plate. Using M2x6mm screws causes them to pass through the Base Drive Plate, rubbing against the L3 Bearing Race Lower part and preventing it from turning. 9/12/19 Updated the Base Drive STL files to include a hole for the shaft encoder. This design was modeled after the Jacob and Co. Twin Turbo Furious watch. After researching videos and images online, I created an accurate (scaled up) version of the original Furious tourbillon mechanism. Similar to the Gyrotourbillon and the Triple Axis, this model features a scaled-up version of the original Furious tourbillon mechanism. Plastic screws were printed to scale and used as caps to conceal the steel screws holding it together. Watch a real-time video of it in action at https://youtu.be/2-7S2i6AUyM This model is quite large, with a diameter exceeding 200mm. The design includes multiple versions of the Balance Shaft and Fork, offering alternatives to achieve smoother ticking. Read the Overview in Build Notes for a better understanding of this design's constraints.
