TT-02 Type S Rear Hinge Pin Brace
thingiverse
The TT02 Type S rear hinge pins rely on the bulky bumper part to retain them. My earlier design allowed this to be removed by adding a 3D printed brace that also doubled as a droop plate (i.e. letting droop now be set on the TT02). I wasn't happy with the suspension putting pressure on the plate as it seemed to sag a little over time. Instead I swapped this for a carbon fibre part but this lost the retaining aspect of the hinge pins. A simple brace to hold the hinge pins then proved unreliable as a small impact would cause the rear wheel to move backward and 'eject' the toe-in plate. It turns out my earlier design added a significant amount of strength in stopping this happening. This design seeks to retain the high strength retaining aspect while also allowing a carbon droop plate to be ran. It uses the rear 2 gearbox screws to give horizontal strength while the 2 holes further down can be used to retain the plate. Weight is negligible in a competitive space as it's 4g, but could mean the difference between finishing the race or not.
