<p>The TS80p is the soldering iron with the best price-performance ratio. Although it is just USB-C powered with a max power consumption of. 30W, it outperforms much higher powered irons. This is achieved by a clever design where the heat is generated in the tip. The power supply in those kits will most probably not fit.</p><h4>What Else Is Needed</h4><p>There is just 1 screw needed: M2 length ≥5mm (I used M2x8). Ideally with a H1.5 head so that it can be fastened with the allen key for the ground wire screw of the TS80p.</p><p>Certainly you need 1 or more spools of solder wire to solder and a dry sponge to clean the tip.</p><h4>Printing</h4><p>All parts (except the spool adapter) have been printed in PLA with the same print settings:</p><ul><li>Layer height: 0.15mm, first layer height: 0.3mm</li><li>Perimeters: 3</li><li>5 top solid layers, 4 bottom solid layers</li><li>Infill density: 15%, pattern: aligned rectilinear</li><li>Default extrusion width: 0.52mm, first layer: 200%</li></ul><p>The spool adapter is also printed in PLA, but with much lower quality settings:</p><ul><li>Layer height: 0.3mm</li><li>Perimeters: 1</li><li>3 top solid layers, 2 bottom solid layers</li><li>Infil density: 10%, pattern: rectilinear</li></ul><p>Print </p><ol><li><code>main.stl</code> (in photos: white)</li><li><code>left.stl</code> (in photos: galaxy purple)</li><li><code>right.stl</code> (in photos: galaxy purple)</li><li><code>solder wire rack - bar.stl</code> (in photos: galaxy purple)</li><li>either <code>iron holder - clamping.stl</code> (in photos: black) or <code>iron holder - cone shape.stl</code> (in photos: white)<br>The clamping one holds the iron more tightly. On the other hand its more easy to slip the iron into or out of the cone shaped one.</li><li>optionally <code>dry sponge cover.stl</code> (in photos: black)<br>The cover prevents waste from tip cleaning to scatter all around during transport.</li><li>a spool adapter which fits your solder wire spool.
