TS100 Silicone Grip (Soldering Iron)

This is a mold for creating a Silicone Grip for the popular TS100 Soldering Iron. It enables you to hold the soldering iron more securely in front of you, with a better profile, leading to more precise soldering results even for beginners. The grip also functions as a small stand, keeping the hot part safely elevated when it rests on the table. The round groove on the metal component remains accessible, ensuring compatibility with most dedicated TS100 stands. Important: Only use High Temperature Silicone! I utilized 2-component liquid heat-resistant silicone commonly used for tin casting and proven to be temperature stable at >350°C. Never employ non-heat-resistant silicone! This design is intended for single use only, as removing the silicone grip from the mold requires a lighter to soften the PLA and pliers to open it. The TS100 negative may also break during removal. However, the design uses minimal PLA, and you should only need one attempt – it's relatively easy. A mold design that allows multiple uses would likely be excessive and produce seams in the silicone, compromising its appearance.
