TS 100 Soldering Station
thingiverse
I didn't craft this by hand; I used a CNC machine to carve it out of 6mm plywood. You can find both the .dxt and .stl files here, so feel free to print or use them for CNC work. There are no specified tolerances in the design, so you'll need to file down the edges slightly to get a precise fit. For mounting the battery, I repurposed an old Metabo charging station. I cut it to size and soldered an old laptop cable directly onto the B+ and B- terminals. Next, I marked the screw holes with small nails and then drilled them out to fit perfectly. You can follow this same process using a Dewalt or Makita toolset. The barrel is simply a 15mm copper tube that's been cut to length. Alternatively, you could use a wooden dowel of similar size. I hope you enjoy working with it; if you need any modifications or have questions about the Fusion 360 files, just let me know.
