Trylon & Perisphere
thingiverse
My interpretation of the iconic centerpiece building from the 1939-40 New York World's Fair, the Trylon & Perisphere. Memories of attending the 1964 World's Fair in New York sparked a desire to create a model of the Unisphere (still standing today). Research revealed that this striking structure once occupied the exact same location in Flushing Meadows Park nearly three decades earlier. The discovery was too captivating to resist, so I decided to build a model of it first! I've included images of the finished model as well as an exploded view, designed to provide a clearer understanding of how each part fits together seamlessly. Due to printing constraints, the complete model may not print in one shot. To accommodate smaller printers, I've also included two versions of the Trylon: one single-part design and another divided into two parts for optimal results. Enjoy!
