This is a set of parts to make a cantilever system for a Traxxas TRX-4. To build the system, you will need additional components, which are listed below. You can use these parts to create a functional cantilever system. You will need: * 2 spacers: These spacers have a diameter of 6mm, a hole diameter of 3mm, and a thickness of 2mm. They will be used to space the pivot point away from the mounting plate. * 4 bearings: Each bearing has a diameter of 8mm, a hole diameter of 3mm, and a thickness of 4mm. They will be used in conjunction with the spacers to create the cantilever system. * 2 bolts for the pivot: These bolts are 30mm long and have a diameter of 3mm. They will be used to secure the pivot point to the mounting plate. * 4 bolts for the shock and link: These bolts are 15mm long and have a diameter of 3mm. They will be used to attach the shock and link to the cantilever system. * 2 bolts for the rear of the shock: These bolts are 25mm long and have a diameter of 3mm. They will be used to secure the rear of the shock to the cantilever system. Note that bolt lengths are only for the thread, excluding the bolt head. I have redesigned the cantilever arms so that nuts are not required. Make sure to print 2 arms of each type and 2 additional spacers with a diameter of 10mm. You will also need to print 2 rear shock mounts. Note that I reversed the cross member in my build, which eliminated the need for nuts on the front holes of the chassis mounting plates. However, this is not necessary if you choose to use nuts and bolts instead. You may need to countersink the rear hole on the chassis mounting plates due to tight clearance. Additionally, you will need to create your own links from the axle up to the cantilever system. The length of these links determines the ride height, so feel free to experiment with different lengths. For reference, my links are approximately 30mm eye-to-eye. You may also need limiting straps if the lower spring cup is pushed back excessively when the axle is hanging. I found that the spring pressure held it in place, but it does move. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to message me. *EDIT* 04/2019 I added a smaller cantilever arm to reduce leverage on the shock, allowing for better tuning of the suspension due to requiring less preload on the spring. I also created a new spacer with a bigger diameter inner hole to accommodate a metal tube, which will be used to support the bearings when tightening the pivot bolt. The dimensions of the tube are 5mm in diameter and 11.24mm in length. You will need to make longer lower links for this setup; my links were 37mm eye-to-eye. If you want more travel, consider reversing the rear shock mount as well.
