TRX-4 2065 Servo Spring Horn Jig
thingiverse
My TRX-4 shift servo gave out on me, so I had to swap in a new one. Unfortunately, that didn't go smoothly - the spring-loaded horn made it nearly impossible to keep pressure on the top, and I ended up breaking the new servo right away. It turns out you need to apply constant pressure to the top of the horn, but the spring makes this nearly impossible by hand alone. There isn't a convenient way to do this, so I had to get creative. I came up with a jig that holds down the center section of the horn, making it easy to remove and reinstall the screw without having to apply excessive pressure. This setup works for either side, so you should be able to use it no matter what orientation your spring-loaded horn is in. The shift and differential servos all use the same spring horn, and they're all 2065s, so this jig will work on any Traxxas model that uses the 2065 servo with the same horn - including the E-Maxx and Bandit.
