Trunk Cargo Holder

Trunk Cargo Holder

These grips are inspired by a set I found in a brand new VW golf. They are used to hold items in place when driving. To make four of them, simply attach a print with Velcro's prickly side to each base. The softer side should stick to your trunk's carpet or lining. They can be easily relocated as needed and larger versions can also be made. I recently tested a 3" version in a Mini Clubman, where the groceries stayed perfectly in place. This grip was created using Tinkercad and can be edited online at https://tinkercad.com/things/5x8cGIBhd3N. When printing, use your Replicator's default settings through the MakerBot software, as I did. Four holders are needed, one for each corner of your item. The grip size can be scaled up in Makerware or by editing the file directly on Tinkercad. To assemble, attach Velcro with its prickly side to each base and stick it firmly to the softer lining of your trunk.
