The Truncated Ball Pyramid Puzzle is an extremely challenging and unusual ball pyramid puzzle created by the late Markus Gotz. The original name "Nightmare on 'Truncated Ball Pyramid' Street" pays homage to the classic horror movie "Nightmare on Elm Street." All pieces of this puzzle feature extended connectors known as "contra-planar" pieces, a term coined by Leonard Gordon. These connectors link spheres that don't touch, positioned in different square packing planes. Assembling the Truncated Ball Pyramid Puzzle is an extremely confusing and difficult task. The design utilizes 20 mm diameter spheres, adding to its complexity. Markus Gotz would likely prefer not to have his solution sheet shared publicly. However, if you're interested in obtaining a copy of his solution sheet or the BurrTools file, feel free to email me directly.
