Truncated Octahedron (festA! Sesc Araraquara)

The models were crafted as integral components of a dynamic sculpture designed to be continuously assembled and disassembled by participants at the Sesc Araraquara event from March 11th to 12th, 2017. Two types of building blocks are available: truncated octahedrons and cubes. Assembling these pieces requires two distinct connectors - smaller ones for square faces and larger ones for hexagonal faces. In addition to the building blocks, the Sesc-designed logo is also included in the design. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Prusa Printer Model: Prusa Steel Rafting: Not Required Supports: Not Necessary Resolution: 0.14mm Post-Printing: Sanding and Painting are essential steps to achieve a polished finish. I sanded, painted, and applied shellac to the colored pieces. Both ABS and PLA were used for printing, but I found that ABS was easier to work with during post-printing. The PLA cube in the picture required no additional processing after printing.
