Another versatile polyhedra designed to fill space effectively can be found here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitruncated_cubic_honeycomb Nice about this polyhedra is its ability to be combined seamlessly with other shapes featuring hexagonal faces. Recent updates to the files now include a perfect truncated octahedron. Unfortunately, previous versions, downloaded from the 3D Warehouse, were found to have imperfections and are no longer compatible. Apologies go out to those who tried using them to stack this shape. Fortunately, new files with all necessary corrections are available now and work perfectly as expected. Thicker struts are also now included in a version added recently.
