Here are five polyhedra that demonstrate the dissection of two truncated octahedra into a cube. Check out this Wolfram Demonstration: https://www.demonstrations.wolfram.com/DissectionOfTwoTruncatedOctahedraIntoACube/ In this dissection, a truncated octahedron is divided into four identical pieces, "quarter_to.stl", and a second truncated octahedron is cut into two identical pieces, "half_to.stl". Four "quarter_to.stl" plus two "half_to.stl" can be assembled into a cube. In the assembled cube, the quarter pieces are joined at half square faces and the half pieces at square faces. The cube is then completed by joining 8 pairs of hexagonal faces. The polyhedra "two_quarter_to.stl", "four_quarter_to.stl", and "two_half_to.stl" are made by joining two or four quarter pieces at half square faces and two half pieces at square faces. Cubes can be assembled from a single "two_half_to.stl" polyhedron and two "two_quarter.to.stl" polyhedra, or a single "four_quarter_to.stl" polyhedron and two "half_to.stl" polyhedra. OpenSCAD code is provided.
