Truncated Octahedra as Children's Blocks
thingiverse
The space-filling truncated octahedron forms blocks that nest perfectly together, creating intricate structures. Five blocks are showcased here; the simplest is the basic truncated octahedron itself. Two blocks comprise pairs of polyhedra, one pair connected by square faces and another by hexagonal faces. The fourth block consists of three truncated octahedra joined by hexagonal faces, while the fifth block contains four polyhedra connected by square faces. OpenSCAD code is provided for reference.
