Truncated Octa Hedron Fillament Holder
thingiverse
Building upon the foundation of a truncated octahedron, I'm crafting a new structure that incorporates its unique properties. The underlying framework is being constructed by carefully arranging eight equilateral triangles and six square faces to form a robust base. Each triangle's vertex touches three squares, ensuring a seamless connection between shapes. To achieve stability, the squares are positioned in a specific pattern, creating a repeating sequence of alternating large and small squares. This arrangement not only reinforces the structure but also allows for efficient packing within a given space. As I work on refining this design, I'm keeping in mind the importance of maintaining the octahedron's inherent symmetry. By doing so, I can create a visually appealing and mathematically precise base that serves as a solid foundation for further development.
