Trumpet mouthpiece (working)
thingiverse
I modified the mouthpiece as it didn't fit my trumpet due to a narrow throat, causing poor sound quality. I also fixed overhang issues. The outcome exceeded expectations. After printing at 200 um layer thickness, I trimmed the foot with garden scissors and smoothed the rim with fine sandpaper. Key features include a soft sound due to its spherical shape and suitability for low register notes. However, it has a slightly noisy sound caused by the sharp edge between the cup and throat. Future plans involve learning OpenSCAD to create a parametric mouthpiece design. For more information on trumpet mouthpieces, visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mouthpiece_(brass).
