Trumpet Mouthpiece Tone Booster Sleeve
thingiverse
This was designed to add weight to the trumpet mouthpiece. What is unique is that the weight is provided by stacks of pennies versus a solid piece of brass. It fits over a trumpet mouthpiece shank in the same manner as other sleeves/tone boosters. Put as many pennies in it as you need to to get the sound/feel you're looking for. The plastic doesn't weigh much itself, so it provides a wide range of weight. The zinc in pennies is nearly as dense as brass, so this sleeve can accommodate enough pennies to make it one of the heaviest (or one of the lightest) sleeves out there. Weighs between 30 and 135 grams. There are four parts: top, bottom, and nuts and bolts. You need 3 sets of nut/bolt. The bolts need to be printed on one of the angled faces of the head. No supports needed for any of it. I recommend something less brittle than PLA such as PETG or ABS.
