Brass players frequently utilize these to practice and refine their proper embouchure. An actual mouth piece is usually cut down to produce what you see here. The concept behind it is that you can verify if your lips are placed correctly on the mouth piece. Then, when attached to the instrument, you can exercise blowing straight ahead. Once it's in place, you can also hear whether air is being forcefully blown into the instrument or leaking out through the openings of the mouth piece. This example was created for a Bach trumpet, but other brass instruments might fit just as well. These were printed using three shells and fifty percent infill on a Makergear M2. As a result, the produced mouthpiece came out quite good with minimal sagging or loose threads in the transition area to the tube. The finished mouthpiece turned out rigid and robust, likely able to withstand substantial use without sustaining damage.
