This innovative device was tailored for Karuna and accommodates limb deficiencies on her left hand with precision. The design is meticulously scaled to fit a Bach Student Trumpet, model TR300. The system comprises five distinct components: \n(1) MAIN - encases the left side of the valves, securing itself in place\n(2) BOTTOM - glides over the base of the valves and main, locking into position\n(3) DOVETAIL - connects to Karuna's palm via two 1/8" barrel diameter Chicago screws, sliding smoothly in and out of the main valve surround\n(4) PALM - joins both the dovetail and gauntlet together using two 1/8" barrel diameter Chicago screws\n(5) GAUNTLET - connects to the palm via two 1/8" barrel Chicago screws, designed for secure attachment with Velcro to Karuna's arm\nYou can download the original design or select scalable versions of the DOVETAIL, PALM, and GAUNTLET.\nTwo distinct versions of the PALM are available - one that requires full printing on its top surface, and another that can be printed in two parts, joined together using acetone or a similar adhesive method. Once assembled, the trumpet with MAIN and BOTTOM attached fits perfectly into the Bach trumpet case for convenient storage after use.\nThis groundbreaking device was created during a 2015 Summer Fellowship, generously funded by the Enable Community Foundation, within the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee's Digital Craft Research Lab.
