Truing Stand Thru Axle Adapter works on Park TS-8
thingiverse
I needed a secure way to true my thru-axle wheels on my Park TS-8 stand without breaking the bank. The Park TS-TA part costs $60, which seemed excessive since the stand itself is already pricey. Using just the thru axle bolt isn't very secure, so I opted for this DIY solution. It worked flawlessly on my 15x110 front hub and performed great on my rear 12x148 hub as well. To make it, you'll need: A 5/16-inch threaded rod about 8 inches long, easily obtainable from Home Depot or Lowe's Four 5/16 flat washers Two 5/16 nuts Print the following: Two truing cones One smaller knob One larger knob I took extra precautions by epoxying my nuts into the knobs for added strength, but it's not necessary to do so.
