The handle installed originally and its replacement kept breaking on the lever that unlocks the door. To prevent this, the handle's design was modified to include more material along the lever by adding fillets. The handle was printed upright so that the layers would be aligned across the fatigue point where failure occurred. This model is designed specifically for the driver's side door and can easily be mirrored for use on the passenger's side. After the first print in ABS, it lasted for about five months before succumbing to the same issues as the original OEM design.
