My customer requested an affordable customized star of the year award for their annual gathering, so I designed this simple yet effective trophy. To achieve a "glass effect," I used 3mm extruded plastic for both the back and front of the trophy. The green star is made from 3mm perspex in the company's signature colors. For added detail, I incorporated 2mm laser-engraved inserts with black on gold, black on silver, and white on black designs using Romark ink. The stand is constructed from 3mm solid perspex, secured solely by glue. Once assembled, the trophy itself is glued into place within the stand. To hold the trophy together without additional adhesives, I designed "brackets" out of clear extruded plastic that clamp down tightly. If opting for a different material thickness, it's essential to adjust both the size of these brackets and the cut in the stand to ensure proper fitment.
