Tronxy XY2 Offset Bracket
thingiverse
Offset bracket to lower the hotend behind the fan on the Tronxy XY-2 Pro and X5SA. I was getting a bunch of failed prints due to heat creep and it was taking forever to get to temp, and I noticed the heater block/cartridge were sitting right behind the fan. This means that the heater has to compensate for all of the heat lost due to convection and probably (but I'm not great at heat transfer) means the internal temperature of the block is several degrees higher then what the thermistor is reading. Also the fan isn't blowing across the heatsink, so the cold region of the hot end is getting hot. This bracket drops the hot end 12 mm (.5") so that the heat sink has the fan on it, and the heat block stays hot. This means that you'll lose about 12 mm of height on the printer, and you should probably re-tune your PID (I didn't but that doesn't mean you should follow my example)
