TRONXY X5SA PRO Filament Blob Detector

TRONXY X5SA PRO Filament Blob Detector

When using low quality filament you get what you pay for. Among others blobs and foreign bodies in the filament that will clog your head and destroy your printing. This is a simple consept for a blog detector. Filament can pass the tube but when a blob is found the tube will move opening the switch and causing a "filament runout event" that will stop the print. The detector is connected in series with the runout sensor switch of your machine. In my case the runout sensor is a switch that it is always 'on' when filament is ok and 'off' when there is no filament. For the detector you will need a spring from a Pilot GT2 pen, and two shims that you will solder your cables on and will glue to the device. You may never need it but better safe than sorry....
