TronXY X5SA PRO Direct Drive Mount STOCK
thingiverse
I made this part as an exercise with three goals: to learn OPENSCAD, to understand the impact of different modifications, and to keep things as stock as possible. This is my first step, which involves addressing the 600mm+ bowden tube. If requested, I'll post my source code later, but being my first OPENSCAD part, things are ugly so I'll need a cleanup phase. WARNING NOTES: Doing this mod will force you to change your E-Steps and print slower since you will be top-heavy now, but increased print quality was worth it for me. You will need to rotate the fake titan's mounting bracket so that it matches the pictures (see link below for assembly instructions). If you are still running the stock firmware, there is a guide linked below which may allow you to update the esteps and retraction and keep the printer as stock as possible. Printing Notes: - Printed solid because I want max strength but less would probably work just as well. - If you aren't printing on the stock PC bed, a BRIM is recommended due to low surface area but the model is already aligned for best strength. - Make sure your printer is calibrated properly since the hole tolerance is tight. - No supports should be required. Post install TODO list: - RECALIBRATE YOUR ESTEPS!!! (I was over by 6% after and my walls looked horrible) - You may want to reduce acceleration and JERK since the printer is now top-heavy and will shake under fast movement now. - Enjoy printing with low retraction values! Other Notes: Firmware: Marlin 2.0.X-Feb/2020 Mainboard: SKR V1.3 with TMC 2209's Retraction: 0.6mm @35mm/s from 6.5mm @25mm/s Acceleration: 1000 on X/Y JERK 4 Linear Advance K Value: 0.09 Esteps: 410 PrusaSlicer: 2.1 Titan Assembly: https://e3d-online.dozuki.com/Guide/1.75mm+Bowden+Titan+Assembly/20?lang=en Chitu GCode Guide: http://tronxy-3d.org/chitu-g-code-explained.html
