V4 Update 1/14/2022: Continued to have a small amount of sag, but it was very minimal. However, I want to go with slightly higher belt tensions, and as such I have updated the design to reinforce a couple major stress points and address an issue with clearance for screw heads underneath the mount. V3 Update 12/23/2021: After extensive use the brackets will tend to sag inward. Hole spacing at the top modified. Added a bit of heft to the top piece as well. V2 Update 12/11/2021: Worked on a revised version that's got a bit more strength. Utilized this existing corner bracket design (loved the design) to hold a number of nylon spacers and a longer 50mm M5 screw. The M5 screw goes through the top of the bracket and down into the pulley assembly. This provides additional constraint of the machine screw, reducing the tendency of the screw to lean inward toward the center of the printer. ( The stock assembly causes belt drag when sufficient belt tension is applied, which can cause artifacts to appear on prints and reduce belt lifespan.) Required materials: -Nylon or steel spacers of various sizes -M5x0.8 50mm machine screws (socket head fits the hole, other types may sit atop the cutout) Optional, but highly suggested materials: -New lock nuts (new nylon insert will have more bite than one previously used) -Toothed GT2 idler pulleys
